ABOT-LANGIT ang pasasalamat ni Marjorie Barretto sa anak na si Julia dahil sa pagpapaaral nito sa kanyang kapatid na si Leon Barretto.
Proud nanay ang dating aktres na si Julia ang nagpa-graduate sa nag-iisang anak na lalaki kahit hindi naman talaga niya ito responsibilidad.
Nagtapos si Leon sa University of Asia and the Pacific, sa kursong Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication.
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Instagram account, ibinandera ni Marjorie kung gaano siya kasaya na napalaki niyang mabubuti at nagmamahalan nang bonggang-bongga ang kanyang mga anak.
Sabi ni Marjorie, hindi naman kailangang gawin ni Julia ang pag-aralin si Leon pero nagkusa ang aktres para sa mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan ang kanyang kapatid.
“A very special thank you to Julia — you didn’t have to, but you lovingly took it upon yourself to help put Leon through school,” sabi Marjorie sa caption ng kanyang IG post.
“Seeing you beam with pride in his graduation was a beautiful reminder of family and love,” pagbabahagi pa niya.
Mensahe naman ni Marjorie sa nag-graduate na anak, “Congratulations, Leon. This is just the beginning of a beautiful life ahead. I love you so much!
“Leon, you honored our wishes. I watched you study so hard, sometimes too hard that I had to remind you to rest. Yesterday, all your sacrifices shine through — you made us so proud.
“Your sisters are just as proud of you, cheering you on every step of the way,” ang buong pahayag ni Marjorie.
Nauna rito, nagtapos din si Marjorie kamakailan sa Philippine Women’s University sa edad na 51. Graduate siya sa kursong Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts.
“At 51 years old, I finally wore this cap and gown. For years, finishing college was a dream tucked away — paused for show business, raising children, public service, business, and building a life.
“But God never forgot. In His perfect time, He gave me the courage to return, the strength to push through, and the joy of crossing this finish line,” ang bahagi ng kanyang Instagram post.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “The sweetest part? My children were there to witness it — taking my photos and videos, handing me flowers and gifts. A moment so surreal, a full circle moment.”
