Liquor ban ipatutupad sa Maynila sa Setyembre; videoke, concert bawal din

IPINAG-UTOS ng Manila City Government ang pagpapatupad ng liquor ban sa ilang lugar kaugnay ng nakatakdang 2025 Bar Examination sa Setyembre.

Sa Executive Order 41, Series of 2025, na pinirmahan ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, ang liquor ban ay ipatutupad sa mga bisinidad ng San Beda University at University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Ito’y upang masiguro ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa idaraos na bar exam para sa kapakanan ng mga bar examinees. Layunin din ng kautusan na makontrol ang ingay sa may 500-meter radius ng dalawang unibersidad.

“Whereas, to maintain peace and order during the 2025 Bar Examinations and to assure the safety of all bar examinees, there is a need to ban liquor, prohibit ambulant vendors and disruptive activities from the testing sites, and mitigate or noise control within the 500-meter radius of San Bed University, Mendiola Manila and University of Santo Tomas, Espana Avenue, Manila,” ang bahagi ng nilagdaang Executive Order 41 ni Mayor Isko.

Narito ang schedule ng Liquor Ban:

Sept. 6 (12 a.m.) to Sept. 7 (10 p.m.)

Sept. 9 (12 a.m.) to Sept. 10 (10 p.m.)

Sept. 13 (12 a.m.) to Sept. 14 (10 p.m.)

Ipinagbabawal din ang pagbebenta ng alak ng mga ambulant vendors sa mga sumusunod na petsa at oras.

Sept. 6 to Sept. 8 (12 a.m.)

Sept. 9 to Sept. 12 (12 a.m.)

Sept. 12 to Sept. 16 (12 a.m.)

Samantala, pansamantala ring ipagbabawal ang videoke, karaoke, loud sound systems, speakers, at iba pang gamit na naglalabas ng ingay o nakababahalang tunog, gayundin ang mga tao o mga grupo na gagawa ng ingay.

Hindi rin muna papayagan ang iba pang aktibidad tulad ng:

Salubong

Parties

Concerts

Karaoke/videoke

Bukod dito, ipatutupad din ng city government ang road closures sa mga lugar na malapit sa UST at San Beda.

*University of Santo Tomas

1. Closure of Dapitan Street from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 10, and 14, 2025

2. Closure of the two outermost westbound lanes (UST side) of España Boulevard (from Lacson Avenue to P. Noval Street) from 2:00 AM to 8:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 10, and 14, 2025

*San Beda University

1. Closure of Mendiola St. (from the Mendiola Peace Arch up to Conception Aguila St.) from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 7, 10, ad 14, 2025. Both lanes shall be sliced to unauthorized vehicles;

The lanes on the San Beda University side shall be closed to all pedestrians as well.

2. Closure of Concepcion Aguila St. (from Mendiola St. up to Jose Laurel St.) from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 10, and 14, 2025. Both lanes shall be closed to unauthorized vehicles and pedestrians, except residents.

3. Closure of Legarda St. (two lanes from San Rafael St. to Mendiola St. (eastbound only) from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 10, and 14, 2025, the eastbound lane shall be dedicated as drop-off and pick-up points for Bar Examination stakeholders.

*Para sa National Headquarters (Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, O.P. Building, University of Santo Tomas:

1. Closure of Extremadura St. from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sept 7, 10, and 14, 2025.

Naglabas din ng warning ang Maynila sa lahat ng hindisusunod sa mga nabanggit na kautusan, “All violators shall be dealt with accordingly pursuant to existing laws and ordinances of the City Manila.”
