ABOT-LANGIT ang pasasalamat ng bagong Kapamilya actor na si Joaquin Arce sa kanyang stepmother, ang award-winning actress na si Angel Locsin.
So Joaquin ay anak ng asawa ni Angel na si Neil Arce sa dati nitong karelasyon and obviously, maayos at maganda ang samahan ng dalawang taong mahalaga kay Neil.
Ayon kay Joaquin, itinuring niyang mentor pagdating sa acting si Angel na talagang 100 percent ang pagsuporta sa pagpasok niya sa mundo ng showbiz.
“She’s my mentor when it comes to acting. We are really close. She actually directed one of my auditions before; like she’s the one who told me, ‘Oh you should do it like this. Okay pwesto ka diyan,’” ang pahayag ng binata sa interview ni MJ Felipe para sa “Are You G?” ng TFC.
Kuwento pa ng binatang anak ni Neil, “She demonstrated how to say lines. She just snaps her finger and she said the line of the character I was supposed to play out, and it’s like, ‘how did she do that?’
“And that’s also one of the moments na like, man I want to be like that. I want to be that good,” aniya pa.
Na-shock din daw siya nang mag-post si Angel sa Instagram tungkol sa pagpirma niya ng kontrata sa Star Magic.
“Actually hindi niya sinabi sa akin na magpo-post siya. Ako rin nagulat ako like nasa kotse ako, nag-i-scroll ako sa Instagram, biglang one minute ago nag-post si Tita Angel sa Story niya so binasa ko…’Can’t wait to work with you…’” pahayag pa ni Joaquin.
“I feel like I have to earn it. I have to work for it,” saad ng baguhang aktor.
Sa tanong ni MJ kung kailan niya na-feel na gusto talaga niyang pasukin ang showbiz, “In 2023, na-invite po ako sa workshop, acting workshop ng Cornerstone. And it was that process, that workshop, tapos parang two weeks na I did it and I was just like, ‘I like this. I like what I did.'”
“It’s my first time memorizing lines. It’s my first time having kaeksena. And I love the process. I love correcting my mistakes, I love nailing scenes. I love the process of studying scripts. It wasn’t just one moment. It was that entire workshop,” pagbabahagi pa ng stepson ni Angel Locsin.
