Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters and Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis "Migz" Villafuerte have just revealed some amazing news: They're expecting a baby girl!
On June 1, Tuesday, the beauty queen uploaded a video on her YouTube channel showing highlights from their gender reveal party.
Rachel: "I would love for the baby to be a girl, but I'm 99.9 percent sure it's a boy."
Migz: "I also think it's a boy because [with the] Villafuerte and the Reyes [family]—which is my mom's maiden name—the first child is always a boy."
Rachel: "But in the Peters family, the eldest kid is always a girl, so 50/50."
They even did a poll with family and friends and many of them guessed the couple was going to have a boy. Later on, Rachel and Migz held smoke bombs that puffed out pink smoke.
Rachel first announced she was pregnant in an Instagram post on May 18. She and Migz got engaged in November 2019 after being together for five years.
"18 weeks of growing and loving you. You’re a dream come true, our little chickpea."
In another vlog published on May 25, Rachel talked about her pregnancy journey, how they decided to start a family after having to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic.

"As expected, things were not that easy. It took months of blood tests, trips to the doctor, and different treatments to balance out my hormones to even be able to begin trying for a baby. It was all worth it, though, because about a year later, we got the best news ever."
"We are incredibly grateful for this blessing that’s come at such a crazy time in the world and we’re so excited to see what the future has in store for us."
