“Ms. Regine has been the most sought-after artist and singer in the Philippines. Siya yung pinaka-standard. She has gone through a lot of recognition na talagang deserve and deserve niya,” ang pahayag ni Sofronio sa panayam ng media.

“Noong nasa The Voice ako, I really use that factor na kung si Ms. Regine na transcend yung energy niya with music not just in Philippines, not just in Asia but internationally and globally, it might as well work for me.

“I tried and it really worked. Chinanel ko yung pagka-Regine. Minanage ko na lang how to showcase it through Sofronio way,” proud na rebelasyon ng Kapamilya singer.

Natanong din si Sofronio about dream collaborations with  international artists, “The dream duet would be Michael Bublé with a record.

“A chance also to record with an international Filipino, Nicole Scherzinger, Ms. Lea Salonga, Olivia Rodrigo, H.E.R., apl.de.ap, and Bruno Mars,” aniya.

Samantala, sinagot din ng binata kung bakit mas pinili niyang unahin ang singing career niya sa Pilipinas kesa sa kanyang international career. Pumirma siya ng kontrata sa Star Magic at ABS-CBN kamakailan.

“Some of the people are going to question this decision that I made. Before I won, I had a conversation with Michael Bublé, that he really wanted also to just make highlight of the fact that I am an Asian, I’m a Filipino.

“And if given the chance that I will win, I think we would use that aspect of leverage to just pursue music.

“Kasi even him (Michael), he was a Canadian and he was an American-signed artist for a few years. And not until he went to Asia, and specifically in the Philippines.

“Kung hindi siya pumunta sa Philippines and Asia, hindi siya nabigyan ng recognition as the Michael Bublé na kilala natin ngayon,” ani Sofronio.

“So, ang gusto niyang patunayan sa akin is, ‘Bakit bibitawan mo yung Asia and Philippines…as your leverage to just sustain, and kumbaga, make it more global?’ Kasi, this is my home.”

“Lahat ng mga nananalo, it’s still a challenge for them. Kasi after they win as The Voice winner, I could also be wrong with this idea, mahihirapan silang mag-transcend because the music industry in America is very, very concentrated.

“Now that I have this platform, whether I can make it very big in America  I can make use of my Asian community, who’d help me na, ‘Aba, this Sofronio can make it,’” paliwanag pa niya.

“Tsaka hindi naman sasayangin (international career) because I will do my music here. I will do my craft here. Hindi lang nila nakikita na I am just working here.

“Marami din pong nag-aantay sa akin doon (sa US). Hindi ko lang puwedeng pagsasabay-sabayin kasi nag-iisa lang ako,” sabi pa ni Sofronio.
