Sue Ramirez Joked Her Mom Would 'Deport' Her To The US If She Doesn't Succeed In Showbiz
In the virtual press con for Sue Ramirez's new movie under Regal Entertainment, Mommy Issues, Sue's own mother Chit Dodd—who rarely says yes to interviews—talked about her daughter and shared her thoughts on Sue's showbiz career.
As the youngest in the family, Sue is considered the apple of everyone's eyes. "Responsible 'yan, kahit na noon pa," her mom started. She also explained how independent Sue is and how she doesn't need to meddle with Sue's finances. "Wala namang umaasa sa kanya so it's up to her to manage her finances. Gano'n lang ka-simple ang buhay namin. Bahala ka sa buhay mo, bahala kami sa buhay namin, but make sure na honorable ka, na you're always on the right track."
And even though her mom works in a different industry (in a different country, at that), she always wishes for the best for Sue and her career, and always reminds her to strive for the best and stand with dignity no matter what. And if all else fails, Sue's mom says that she could always go back to the US. where her family is. "I hope na maging successful ang field of industry na gusto niya, kasi sabi ko, kung hindi ka maging successful, you can go to the States."
"Ide-deport niya raw ako 'pag hindi ko ginalingan," Sue even joked. For Sue's mom, it's always up to her to decide on what she wishes to pursue in life, as long as she achieves it in a dignified manner. Her mom's only wish for Sue? "Na maging matinong tao siya," her mom said.
When the time came for Sue to share her message for her mom, Sue had nothing but a grateful heart for how she's been raised. "Ako, I'm just grateful that I'm the person that I am because of her," Sue tearfully shares. "I would like to say that I was raised well and that's all thanks to her."
