Iñigo Pascual On Maris Racal's Rumored Relationship With Rico Blanco: 'Love Is Love'

Iñigo Pascual made it clear that he fully supports the rumored relationship between former love team Maris Racal and Rico Blanco. In an episode of PopCinema, the actor and singer said that he is happy for the two since he knows how much of a big fan Maris is of the former frontman of Rivermaya.

"Well, ako, wala naman akong masasabi pa at wala pa namang nagko-confirm or anything. For me, kung sila, masaya ako kasi, siyempre, alam ko kung gaano ka-idol ni Maris iyon."

He even shared that when he and Maris were still active as a love team, the actress used to request him to sing a lot of Rico’s songs. Iñigo also confirmed that he congratulated Maris when he found out about her collaboration with the singer for the song "Abot Langit" in 2019.

"Kino-congratulate ko siya dahil alam kong sobrang idol niya iyon. So even them being friends, and the fact na nagka-collab sila dati, parang supportive ako do’n."

Iñigo and Maris were romantically linked before because of their undeniable chemistry on screen. In an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" back in 2019, Maris admitted that while she and Iñigo had a special relationship, they never became official. She also shared that while Iñigo broke her heart, they parted ways on friendly terms.

"We didn’t have time to really go out because of work. I guess minahal naman namin ang isa’t isa. Basta nag-stay lang kami sa more than friends."

Rumors about Maris and Rico’s special relationship first blew up after the former sent a birthday greeting to the singer. While her caption was neutral, the comments of several celebrity friends made fans think that there is something deeper going on between the two. The pair once again collaborated to cover the song "Brighter Than Sunshine" by Aqualung.
