Ivana Alawi Clarifies Her Viral Video With Marco Gumabao And Says 'We're Friends'

Let's rewind back to October 12 when a video of Ivana Alawi and Marco Gumabao went viral on TikTok. The two were seen singing karaoke with friends, but upon closer inspection, one would notice that Marco affectionately touched Ivana's thigh, which she seemed to be comfortable with. This video led people to assume the two are involved romantically.

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but according to Ivana herself, the both of them are just friends. In a recent KUMU Live, Ivana answered Qs regarding her relationship status and stressed that she isn't seeing anyone. "Kung may jowa ako, sasabihan ko kayo," she said.

When quizzed how she and Marco are doing, Ivana was tight-lipped and said, "Okay naman. Okay lang. Wala na [akong] masabi." She then went on to deny anything romantic ever going on between them. "No, no, and no," Ivana said. "Never kami nagkaroon ng kahit anong relasyon, romantic—no, wala."

And as for the viral video, Ivana clarified that they hung out as friends and with other friends as well—there's really nothing more to it: "Unang-una, hindi lang naman date 'yon na kaming dalawa. We're friends. I was with also other friends and nasa bahay kami ng friend ko. Wala. As friends lang talaga. 'Yon. Wala. There is nothing. Hindi kami. Wala."

She closed off the topic by saying, "No, I'm single."

For those curious to know if she said anything about her showbiz crush Joshua Garcia, she did say that *if ever* he or anyone else would like to court her, she'd be open to it! "Lagi kong sinasabi lahat may pag-asa."
