You'll Never Guess Who This Pinay Chose As Flower Girls For Her Wedding
When it comes to thinking about your *dream* wedding, chances are you already have ideas on how you want your gown to look, where you want the ceremony to take place, and what the overall motif is gonna be like. Another thing that usually comes to mind is the entourage. As a future bride, you've also probably made an imaginary list of potential MOHs, bridesmaids, ninongs, and ninangs.
For Pinay Ronna Uy-Canete, her ~bride tribe~ was quite special and extraordinary. When she got married on May 15, 2021, her flower girls were none other than her grandmothers, Lola Nena and Lola Estrella. So cute! Check it out.
As someone who was "laki sa lola," Ronna has always had a special relationship with her grandmothers. They're former teachers and while Ronna was growing up, they would usually bring her to school to help her with her assignments and projects. Whenever Ronna's parents were at work, Lola Nena and Lola Estrella would always be there to take care of her.
This inspired Ronna to acknowledge the love and support she has received from her lolas through the years. She wanted to have a memorable wedding so she decided to make the two women "flower lolas" on her big day. Fun fact: Lola Nena and Lola Estrella were only informed on the wedding day itself, LOL!
According to Ronna, "I want to let my grandmothers experience what it's like to be a flower girl." She wanted them to feel the joy at her wedding, especially since she's the first grandchild and the first one in their family to get married. "Hindi ko malilimutan yung panahon na ['yon]. Yung kaligayahan at kasiyahan ko, hindi ko malilimutan 'yan hanggang nabubuhay ako," Lola Nena said.
Watch the video below and see how *adorable* the flower lolas were at the wedding.
