Vice Ganda Debunks Claims He's *Angry* At ABS-CBN Celebrities Who Switched Networks

It's been a year since congress voted against a franchise renewal for ABS-CBN. During this weekend's episode of It's Showtime, host Vice Ganda talked about what's changed for him ever since the network went off-air, saying he's happy because ABS-CBN is still staying strong despite not being on television. 

"Dati sobra akong nalulungkot talaga. Nadudurog puso ko 'pag nakikita ko. Pero ngayon, sumasaya na ako. 'Di ba? The pain that I felt before is giving me strength right now. It's giving me a reason to smile kasi, my God, isang taon na po ang nakalipas pero nakatindig pa rin tayo ha. Inakala natin tuluyan na tayong tutumba, durog na durog at maibabaon, pero nakatayo at unti-unting umaangat," Vice shared.

He added: "Lahat tayo may pinagdaanan last year, mabigat na mabigat. Ngayon mayroon pa rin, pero tuloy pa rin ang ating pagbangon, pakikibaka, pagsasama-sama, at pag-asa." 

Vice also addressed rumors that he's not happy for ABS-CBN celebrities who switched networks. "Masaya kami, masaya tayo, 'di ba? At hindi kami galit sa mga lumilipat katulad ng mga pinapalabas niyong chismis sa social media. Hoy, 2021 na, ang cheap cheap ng trabaho niyo! Cheap niyo. Mababa pa kayo sa...basahin niyo na lang tweet ko." Vice's co-hosts agreed that the important thing is that they're all happy for each other.

Vice Ganda on those Bea and JLC rumors

Vice was referring to rumors about him making a "patutsada" towards Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. Bea recently transferred to GMA-7 while JLC made his showbiz comeback through a GMA-7 TV special. 

Earlier this month, Vice addressed the issue on Twitter, writing: "Kadiri 'tong FAKE NEWS na 'to!!!!!! Pero mas KADIRI yung mga sumakay!!!! Pero PINAKA KADIRI yung mga sumusweldo at kumikita sa FAKE NEWS!!!" In a follow-up tweet, Vice said: "Mga taong sa panahon ngayon chismis, paninirang puri, at fake news pa din ang trabaho YUUUUICCCCKKK!!!! Mas mababa pa kayo sa TAE! Yan ang #FACT!
