Kylie Padilla has finally spoken up about the status of her relationship with her husband, Aljur Abrenica.
On July 8, Kylie released an official statement confirming she and Aljur have split. She asked that the public respect their decisions as a family, Aljur, their two boys Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo, as well as both of their families at this time.
"Every family goes through a lot of challenges and sometimes we think that it is only the couple that goes through the ordeal. We forget the kids and the people that are involved in the family."
"In the past few months, our family has gone through the process of recovering, healing, and moving on. All we need right now is respect—first and foremost on the decisions we have made as a family, and respect for each and every member of our family—to Aljur who is the father of my two wonderful boys, most especially to Alas and Axl who are at this point very fragile, and also to our families from both sides who have guided us along the way."
"Aljur and I are working on a healthy co-parenting relationship together for our boys' sake. We pray and hope that we will become better persons through this experience and [it] will bring out the best in all of us."

In February, Kylie's cryptic Instagram posts sparked breakup rumors, but in the month that followed, she even posted sweet photos of their family celebrating Aljur's birthday.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz uploaded on July 7, Kylie's dad Robin Padilla confirmed that she and Aljur had indeed gone their separate ways and that a third party had been involved. He mentioned that the two were on good terms and even celebrated Father's Day with the entire family. Robin added that he hopes Kylie and Aljur can patch things up for the sake of their kids.
