Diego Loyzaga Reveals He Got COVID-19 While Taking Care Of Barbie Imperial
Diego Loyzaga recently made a revelation about him and his girlfriend Barbie Imperial: They actually both got COVID-19.
During the press conference for the Filipino remake of the K-drama Encounter, Diego shared the details of how he and Barbie found out they had been infected.
"I was there with her. Pareho po kaming nagkaroon kasi hindi namin alam noong time na 'yon. I was taking care of her, then nagpa-test siya. It came out positive, so I got to test din."
While Diego was asymptomatic, it wasn't the same scenario for Barbie who fought to recover from the virus.
"Mas malakas lang yung resistance ko sa kanya kasi it didn't last long sa akin. Wala 'kong naramdaman; I'm asymptomatic. Wala pang two weeks, I tested negative already. Parang it passed me lang. Pero Barbie was okay. She got better. Malakas yung si Bie, she's strong."
Although he and Barbie were able to get better from COVID, he warned the public not to take it lightly.

"Honestly—I'm speaking for myself—it wasn't difficult like other people experiencing [it] around the world. Yung pinagdaanan namin wasn't so bad, thank God. Pero the virus itself is not a joke kasi there [are] people dying around the world because of it. Pero yung sa aming dalawa, we were okay. Thank God."
The Filipino remake of Encounter, starring Cristine and Diego Loyzaga, premiered in March on TV5 and will be soon available on Vivamax beginning July 23, Friday.
