Aww, Heart Evangelista Recalls Airport Encounter With Chiz Escudero Years Before They Became A Couple
Was it destiny? Heart Evangelista shared that in 2009, she crossed paths with her now-husband Chiz Escudero at an airport. Little did she know, he noticed her too!
On July 11, Heart posted a series of photos recounting the kilig encounter through her Instagram Stories.
The 36-year-old fashion icon shared a throwback photo of herself on a trip. She recalled seeing Chiz at the airport while waiting for her flight.
"I remember this trip so well, I think I was 24. I saw Chiz at the airport smoking section. I didn’t care if it was stuffy. I totally waited there for my flight."

At the time, she thought Chiz didn't notice her but the Sorsogon governor's old tweet revealed he saw her too!
"Already at the airport and guess what… Heart Evangelista is here," Chiz tweeted in 2009.
Heart said she was not aware of the tweet until after they got married. "I didn’t even know! Someone sent this to me when we were married already."
After more than six years of marriage, Heart says she still feels kilig.
"Huwag ka lang niyang mahuhuli nagsho-shopping. Wala nang kilig," she jokingly adds.
The couple got married at Balesin Island Club in February 2015.
