Filipino Olympian and skateboarder Margielyn Didal has captured the hearts of Brazilians, who flooded Twitter with praises for the athlete.

While competing in the Tokyo Olympics, Margielyn bonded with Brazilian skateboarder and silver medalist Rayssa Leal. The duo captured the attention of the South American nation because of their TikTok video. In one tweet, a Brazilian fan described Margielyn as someone they'd love to invite over for a barbecue because of her positive vibes.

Another Twitter user from Brazil congratulated Rayssa and Margielyn. "In Brazil, we cheered a lot for [Margielyn] and for Rayssa, it's a shame she got hurt. Her charisma, sympathy, and joy won us over."
