John Lloyd Cruz made his TV comeback following a four-year hiatus on June 6 as he made a ~super special~ appearance on the 6-6 Shoppee Mega Fiesta TV special that aired on GMA-7.

The actor did a song number called "Yakap" and was then interviewed by Wowowin host Willie Revillame.
When Willie asked John Lloyd if he was ready for his comeback, John Lloyd commented, "Nanginginig pa." He also said, "Nagpapasalamat sa'yo na nandito ako. Excited to be back. Si Kuya Willie, nandito ako dahil sa'yo, so, thank you."
"Pinagdaanan ko din yan. Maraming tao ang tumulong sa akin," Willie commented.
The Wowowin host continued, "Pero importante, Lloydie, nakausap kita, nagkausap tayong dalawa. Napakaganda ng puso mo, ng pagkatao mo. Mahal na mahal mo si Elias, mahal na mahal mo ang anak mo."
"Ang galing mo, fan mo ako, fan mo kaming lahat dahil napakabuti mong tao at napakagaling mong artista. Sa totoo lang, lahat ng GMA artist gusto ka makasama sa isang pelikula. Lloydie, yung sumuporta sayong sambayanang Pilipino, I think sila ang dapat mong pasalamatan kaya ka nandito. Welcome back sa industriyang kung saan ka nagsimula," Willie said.
Willie thanked several important people who made John Lloyd's TV appearance happen, including Maja Salvador, the President and CEO of Crown Artist Management, who recently signed John Lloyd as one of its artists.

Willie also announced that he and John Lloyd will be working together on a show. "Abangan niyo ho, magsasama kami ni Lloydie sa isang primetime show dito sa GMA-7."
In late May, Willie confirmed John Lloyd's appearance in the TV special and said that he personally invited the actor to be a guest in the show.
