Angel Locsin Says Neil Arce Has Been 'Very hands-on' With Their Wedding Planning

It looks like Angel Locsin's fiancé Neil Arce may be a "groomzilla."

In an interview with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chair Rachel Arenas for the online show "MTRCB Uncut," Angel revealed some details about their upcoming wedding.

According to a report by Inquirer, Angel said she has already informed ABS-CBN of her plans to "lie low" so she can concentrate on getting ready for her wedding, which had originally been set for November 8, 2020. When the pandemic hit, she and Neil had to postpone the wedding to 2021.

Angel revealed that they could no longer change the wedding's location as they had already paid for the venue and food, so they could only change the wedding date. She and Neil also had to make some other tough choices to adhere to safety protocols, like reducing their guest list.

"We only needed to decide on the date. Sadly, we’re also trimming the guest list because, with the current health restrictions, we’re only allowed to invite 20 to 50 people. It hurts us to do this because the people we had wanted to invite are all special to us as a couple. We wished to be with them on our special day.”

When it comes to the nitty-gritty of wedding planning, Angel says Neil is pretty much on top of it all, something which she appreciates.

"He would always give me five options and I would just say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ While we have a really good wedding planner, Neil is very hands-on. Maraming gusto. I’m the bride, and I was willing to let go of some things, but not him. I would just laugh at him."

"I’m grateful that he’s like this. While other brides would complain about their grooms not being too involved, Neil was there for me, guiding me."

While Angel and Neil have yet to confirm their new wedding date, Neil did hint in an IG post that the event would push through in 2021.

Nagsimula sa camping, sa kasalan pala mauuwiSa 2021, sa 'kin ka na," he wrote.
