If there's one Pinoy show that's on our radar right now, it's definitely He's Into Her. The new series from Star Cinema just premiered its first episode on Friday, May 28, and became an instant hit online! According to ABS-CBN, the iWant TFC app, which is the streaming service that exclusively houses He's Into Her, experienced a "record-breaking" surge of new users making it the current number one app in the Philippines.

What's the plot of He's Into Her?
He's Into Her is actually an adaptation of the best-selling Wattpad novel of the same name! If you're into the rom-com trope where the popular, sorta asshole-y guy falls in love with the feisty new girl at school, then this one is for you. He's Into Her follows Max, a spunky and fun-loving girl from Mindoro who gets the chance to move to Manila and attend an elite international school. She then crosses paths with Deib, the most popular guy in school who happens to be the biggest bully as well. Tensions rise when they meet…and eventually, they develop feelings for each other.

According to director Chad Vidanes, they were highly inspired by K-dramas in creating the series, specifically Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. "Mainly siguro for the music and the feel of the series, ang pinaka-peg ko diyan is Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," Chad said in the show's press con. For the visuals of He's Into Her, Chad looked into Love Alarm and Crash Landing On You: "For the visual look, I worked with my director of photography to peg Love Alarm. That's our visual reference, Crash Landing On You, that's what we try to pull off."
