Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo is finally breaking her silence following speculations of a breakup with her boyfriend surfaced on social media.
In an interview with Boy Abunda on Sunday, May 30, the beauty queen revealed she and long-time boyfriend Neil Salvacion are in a "complicated situation".
"We need to talk about things when I go back to the Philippines but we are friends. I still try to contact him but we need to have this space as of the moment."
While she did not *exactly* admit that they have broken up, the 24-year-old Ilongga beauty said she's not "closing any doors" on their relationship.
"We've been in this kind of situation before. We've been together for seven years."
Breakup rumors circulated when fans noticed that Neil deleted his photos with Rabiya on Instagram. That same day, former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Andre Brouillette shared various IG photos and videos with the beauty queen, sparking dating rumors.

Rabiya clarified that she and Andre are managed by talent manager and pageant mentor Jonas Gaffud, hence the reason they were spotted together in Los Angeles, California.
"Nahihiya ako kay Andre, ang photos na kumalat, that was the third time na I was able to talk to him. Sinundo lang nila ako sa airport."

As for her plans after the Miss Universe pageant, Rabiya says she is considering being an actress. "I might go into acting. I've been talking to my management and I think in the coming days, I'm going to sign with a network."
Rabiya finished in the top 21 of the Miss Universe 2020 competition.
