Did Julia Barretto Lie On Gerald Anderson's Vlog About Never Having 'Isaw' Before?

Remember Gerald Anderson's vlog where Julia Barretto guested to try Filipino street food? For the vlog, which was released last month, Gerald prepared dishes that he said "hindi [ni Julia] masyadong kinakain, mga pagkain na medyo hindi pa siya na-e-expose dun." There were isaw, kwek-kwek, balunbalunan, as well as papaya, singkamas, manggang hilaw, dinuguan, binatog, and suman.

Julia was going to sample the food and answer some questions. At the 4:00 mark of the vlog, Gerald picks up a stick of isaw and asks Julia, "Never ka pa kumain nito?" And Julia says, "Never ever. Only for you."

But some netizens now beg to differ. They've unearthed a clip of Julia trying isaw with Enrique Gil on an episode of Gandang Gabi Vice in 2014. In that same segment, Julia says, "Oo, na-try ko na ang isaw! Love ko nga 'yon."

User @NeverHurtJulia tweeted, "Julia Barretto's selective memory simply said 'isaw who.'" 

User @lorielllll said, "Mas naiinis pa 'ko ngayon kay Julia Barretto na nagsinungaling siya sa pagkain ng isaw kesa nung inagawan niya si Bea [Alonzo]. Oo 'te, ganda ka. Pero ang pabebe mo, ha."

Some netizens also came to Julia's defense. User @juliasoftie tweeted, "Pati isaw bini-big deal niyo? 'Di kayo nakakalimot? Ba't kayo, kabisado niyo mga nakain niyo? Before you judge and bash someone, take a look in the mirror first. Baka mas madami pa kayong flaws kesa sa buong pagkatao ni Julia. Y'all talk as if you don't make mistakes in your life."
