Julia Advises Joshua To Focus On His Work And 'Wag muna mag-girlfriend'

It's no secret that exes Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia are still good friends, and it seems like they're also open about giving each other *love advice* these days! On his online show The Best Talk, Boy Abunda revealed that he recently talked to Julia about the "Paubaya" music video, Joshua, and her current boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

"Sabi niya, 'Alam mo Tito Boy, yung pagiging magkaibigan namin ni Joshua is at its best. We're very very good friends.'" Tito Boy shared. "Ang nakakatawa daw, siya na ang nagbibigay ng payo ngayon kay Joshua: 'Joshua, 'wag ka muna mag-girlfriend. Mag-concentrate ka sa trabaho mo.' Because she sees how passionate and how driven Joshua Garcia is as an actor."

Julia and Joshua, previously known as the love team JoshLia, revealed that they had broken up in June 2019, saying that they were now "best of friends." At that time, there were rumors that Gerald Anderson was the cause of their separation, but they both denied this, with Joshua saying: "Hindi naman totoo 'yon. Hindi naman magagawa ni Gerald 'yon. Parang kuya ko na si Gerald." In February 2021, Joshua and Julia appeared in a Valentine's music video for Moira Dela Torre's single "Paubaya."

According to Tito Boy, he also talked to Julia about her recent "deep-sea" fishing trip in Zambales with Gerald. "The best thing about Gerald daw, sabi niya, is he guides her, aside from the fact of course that they make each other happy...She's very happy, obviously very happy." 

Gerald went public with his relationship with Julia during a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda in March 2021. Gerald was asked if Julia was a source of his happiness and answered: "Very happy, Tito Boy. It's a yes." The two recently appeared in a vlog episode on Gerald's YouTube channel, where Julia told him she wanted to start a family in five years.
