NANAWAGAN ang aktres at dating “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate na si Wendy Valdez sa publiko na ipagdasal ang kanyang anak na si Emmanuel Seth.
Muling sumailalim sa isang major surgery ang kanyang anak na may condition na spina bifida na isang “birth defect that occurs when the bones of the spine do not properly form around part of the baby’s spinal cord.”
Sa pamamagitan ng Instagram, ibinahagi ni Wendy ang ilang litrato nila ni Seth na kuha bago isagawa ang procedure sa kanyang anak.
Aniya sa caption, “When Seth was born, he had a huge cyst on his back and underwent surgery the moment he came out of my womb.
“Back then, I was still under anesthesia while he was in the operating room, so I never really had the chance to fully feel the weight of it all,” saad pa ng aktres.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Today, at 8 years old, my brave boy is undergoing another surgery that may take around 8 hours. Last night I barely slept. My mom heart feels so heavy.”
Ibinahagi rin ni Wendy ang pagiging emosyonal bago simulan ang surgery ng anak.
“Before they took him in, he kept hugging me and saying, ‘Don’t leave me until I’m asleep.’
“That moment broke me. I stayed beside him until I saw his eyes slowly close to sleep. Then I prayed with the team and knew I had to leave him in God’s hands.
“We have already seen God carry us through impossible moments before, and I know God is still sovereign over this one. He has never left our side.
“If you could whisper a prayer for our little boy today, our family would deeply appreciate it,” saad pa ni Wendy.
Taong 2020, kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic, nang ipaalam ng former “PBB” housemate sa madlang pipol ang karamdaman ni Seth.
Nang ipatupad ang pandemic lockdown, ipinagpatuloy pa rin nina Wendy sa bahay ang physical therapy exercises ng anak.
“Now that we can’t get out, we practice his standing, and walking at home, in his HKAFO brace. Did you know that SETH HAS VERY WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM?
“BUT we can be AT PEACE even with covid virus threatening to take our lives, because we put our TRUST, not on our supplies, sanitizers, bank account, houses, cleaning materials, and our health; but TO HIM WHO HOLDS ALL THINGS TOGETHER,” ang post noon ni Wendy sa social media.
May isa pang anak si Wendy na isinilang noong 2023, si Aaron Judah.
