NASA kustodiya na ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang 28 luxury cars na pagmamay-ari ng pamilya ni contractor Sarah Discaya.

Ayon sa BOC, boluntaryong isinuko ng pamilya Discaya ang karagdagang 16 sasakyan nitong Huwebes, September 4.

Kasama ito sa 12 sasakyan na nakuha ng ahensya noong Martes, September 2, gamit ang search warrant sa compound ng St. Gerard Construction General Contractor and Development Corp. sa Pasig City.

“The 16 vehicles are now undergoing processing by the BOC for sealing and documentation and will be guarded by Customs personnel, pending verification of importation records and assessment of duties and taxes,” the BOC said in a statement,” saad ng BOC sa isang pahayag na iniulat ng INQUIRER.

Kabilang sa mga isinukong sasakyan ay ang Mercedes Benz GLE, Land Rover Range Rover LWB, Land Rover Defender, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Ford Bronco, Mercedes Benz GLS 350, BMW X5 30d, Jaguar F-Pace 2.0D, Porsche Cayenne V6, Volvo XC90, Mercedes Benz Avant, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes Benz Sprinter, ATV Quicksand, GMC Yukon Denali, at ATV Gray.

Dagdag pa ng BOC, patuloy ang kanilang imbestigasyon kaugnay sa mga sasakyan sa tulong ng Land Transportation Office (LTO).

“In the event that any discrepancies or violations are determined, the BOC shall undertake all required enforcement and legal actions in line with the provisions of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA),” babala pa ng ahensya.

Pero paglilinaw ni Nepomuceno, hindi pa kakasuhan o kokumpiskahin ang mga sasakyan. 

Ibabalik daw ito kung mapapatunayang lehitimo ang pagkabili at kumpleto ang dokumento at bayad sa buwis.
