Katarina Rodriguez Just Gave Birth And She Had The Most Touching Caption About The *Essence Of A Woman*
Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez welcomed her first child, Robert Joaquin, with businessman partner Niño Barbers last August 25. In a series of Instagram posts, the new mom opened about the baby’s delivery, calling it the *proudest moment* of her life as she braved herself through water birth.
In the first of her three birth dedication posts, she wrote the most touching caption: “In pageants, they always ask, ‘what’s the essence of a woman?’ I remember practicing this question for two years straight due to my pageant career. I was never really convinced of my own answer to this question, until August 25, 2021.
“What’s the essence of a woman? Her POWER. Power to rule her mind and her body. Power to overcome pain that feels like death but in turn births life. The power to do whatever she puts her mind to.”
The beauty queen-turned-actress shared that she gave birth a few days earlier than her due date; being on an after-dinner boardgame sesh with Nino on one moment and then a nerve-wracking three hour-and-a-half-long labor on the next.
Katarina got candid about her whole experience in her six-minute vlog—from tracking each wave of pain to pushing her mental and physical health to its limits to finally catching a glimpse of her precious newborn.
Greetings and congratulatory wishes from the couple’s celebrity friends poured in the comment section of Kat’s Instagram. Among those who sent out their kind words are Kylie Versoza and Dominic Roque.
