This Former Domestic Helper Got Over P25M Worth Of Inheritance From Her Late Employer

Daisy Bucad-Eng used to be a salt vendor in Besao, Mountain Province. Each day, she would make around P100 to P300. To seek a better life, the Pinay mom migrated to Hong Kong, where she worked as a domestic helper.

While she only earned around P2,700 every month, Daisy considered herself lucky for having a kind-hearted boss, an elderly woman named Marie who treated her like family. For 11 years, Daisy took care of her.

Unfortunately, Marie passed away in 2002.

The former domestic helper's whole life turned around when she had found out that she's included in Marie's last will and testament.

According to the Pinay, she inherited "an apartment worth 25 million na na-convert into pesos," including "stocks sa iba't ibang company."

"Dinala kami sa executive room. Well-treated kami doon," Daisy shared in an interview for Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. She thought, "Totoo ba 'to?"

Daisy used the money she inherited from her late employer to start multiple businesses.

Currently, the Filipina owns a five-story building that has commercial establishments, event spaces for rent, and transient homes. Daisy now lives in the penthouse of the said building!

Honoring her late boss, Daisy also has a special memorial for Marie in her home. "Sobrang mahal ko siya," she shared. "Imagine ba naman siya ang nag bago ng kapalaran mo. I will do my best to [be] the person you want me to be.

"Para sa mga OFW, naghihirap man kayo ngayon, patience and hardwork are the key to success... Kung anumang trabaho ang meron ka, gawin mo na nang tama."
