'Tagpuan' Was Named Best Picture At Romania's Wallachia Int'l Film Festival

The movie Tagpuan was just named best picture at the recently concluded Wallachia International Film Festival in Romania.

The movie, directed by Mac Alejandre and written by Ricky Lee, stars Alfred VargasIza Calzado, and Shaina MagdayaoTagpuan bested film entries from countries such as the US, Japan, UK, China, Turkey, and Greece, among others.

The Romanian film festival described the movie as a "complex story revolving around two ex-lovers with their current separate lives while offering subtle hints to their past."

In the movie, Alfred plays a businessman who happens to meet his ex-wife (played by Iza) in New York and a charming woman (played by Shaina) in Hong Kong.

Tagpuan started filming in August 2019. The movie premiered at the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival and has since won best feature film at India's Chauri Chaura International Film Festival and best director at India's Samskara International Film Festival.

In an interview, Shaina said the movie was about "loneliness and three lost souls."
