TWICE Set To Headline Shopping TV Special On GMA-7

K-pop girl group TWICE is set to headline the upcoming Shopee 9.9 Super Shopping Day TV Special that will air on GMA-7 on September 9.

The nine-member K-pop girl group is composed of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. In the announcement posted by Shopee Philippines, Jeongyeon will not take part in the TV special.

According to a report published on August 19, JYP Entertainment said in a statement that Jeongyeon took a leave of absence to take care of her mental health as she is experiencing "panic and psychological anxiety."

TWICE made its debut in 2015 with "Like OOH-AH" and became household names with their songs such as "LIKEY" and "What Is Love?" The K-pop group is slated to release their first English single "The Feels" in September.

The TV special will air on September 9 at 9:30 p.m. on GMA-7 and the Shopee Philippines App.
