She's Back: Suzy Is In Talks To Star In The New Drama 'The Second Anna'

Can you believe it's been over half a year since Suzy was last seen on the small screen? Yup, it's been that long since she starred as bright-eyed tech dreamer Dal Mi in the hit K-drama Start-Up. But good news to all of us Suzy fans, 'cause she's actually ~in talks~ to star in the lead role of a brand new drama!

Here are all the deets you need to know about Suzy's *possible* new drama, The Second Anna:

What's the plot of The Second Anna?

According to Soompi, Suzy was offered the lead role in the upcoming drama The Second Anna, which was confirmed by agency Management SOOP: "Suzy is positively reviewing a casting offer for The Second Anna."

So what's The Second Anna all about? Well, get ready for a psychological thriller 'cause this isn't our regular 'ol rom-com. Soompi says The Second Anna "tells the story of a woman named Anna who tries to live the life of someone else—similar to the Ripley Syndrome, which is a type of antisocial personality disorder in which the person constantly lies and believes in a fictional world that is not real." Oooh, interesting no? It's also safe to assume that if Suzy accepts the offer, she'll be playing the role of Anna! Fun fact: The drama was originally supposed to be a film but will instead be a drama.

Reports have also been saying that Suzy "has faith" in the drama's director Lee Joo Young, who is also responsible for the 2017 film A Single Rider starring veteran actors Lee Byung Hun and Gong Hyo Jin!

Where can we watch The Second Anna and how many episodes will it have?

The Second Anna is an original series under the South Korean streaming service Coupang Play. While there's no word yet how we can watch it in the Philippines, we do know that the drama is slated to have eight episodes. Stay tuned for more updates!
