It Looks Like Former Child Star Serena Dalrymple Just Got Engaged To Her Non-Showbiz Boyfriend

Former '90s child star Serena Dalrymple showed off what looks like a sparkly engagement ring as she shared a kiss with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Thomas Bredillet.

Serena shared the photo on Instagram and simply wrote: "Happy anniversary! I love you forever!"

Local celebs who congratulated Serena included Camille Prats and Pauleen Luna-Sotto.

Serena got her big break in 1997 when she appeared with Aga Muhlach in a now-famous commercial for a local fast-food chain where she chanted, "Isa pa, isa pang Chickenjoy!"

A regular in ABS-CBN shows, Serena has acted alongside veterans such as Vilma Santos in the 1998 drama film Bata, Bata… Pa'no Ka Ginawa?, and in various comedy films with comedians such as Dolphy, Babalu, and Redford White.

Serena retired from acting in 2004 and the 30-year-old has been residing in the United States. She did, however, make a comeback in the 2008 film Ang Tanging Ina Ninyong Lahat with Ai-Ai Delas Alas and in the 2010 film Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na 'To!) where she reprised her role as Cate.

As to why she left showbiz, Serena said in an interview, "Marami akong reasons for leaving showbiz and the Philippines. One of the biggest reasons was during the time na wala ako masyadong projects, and I realized na I can't rely on just my acting career and I need a back-up plan. Eventually, my back-up plan became my priority. I chose studies over acting."
