Andrea Torres Dishes Out Heartbreak Advice, Says It's About 'Embracing The Process'

How can one get over heartbreak? Kapuso actress Andrea Torres says you need to focus on embracing the process and looking forward to growth! GMA reports that during a guesting for the online show Kapuso ArtisTambayan, Andrea and her The Legal Wives castmates Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, and Bianca Umali dished out relationship advice when a netizen asked for "ways to get over a heartbreak." 

"Ang importante talaga diyan, kailangan mo siyempre i-embrace yung process. Proseso 'yan 'di ba? At ang una doon, kailangan may acceptance ka," Andrea shared. "So once na-accept mo 'yon at na-reflect mo yung nangyari sa relasyon, makuha mo yung learnings mo doon sa relasyon, then puwede ka nang mag-move on." 

She added: "Kailangan mong tulungan yung sarili mo. Kailangan mas mag-focus ka doon sa positive. Huwag kang mag-focus sa 'Ay hindi nag-work.' Mas isipin mo na 'Kaya ito nangyari kasi mayroon 'tong magagawa for me. It's for my growth. May mas malaking plano pa diyan, may mangyayari pang maganda sa akin.' Mas gano'n dapat ang mindset mo."

During the show, host Maey Bautista even teased Andrea: "Parang totoong totoo talagang pangyayari yung mga sinabi mong 'yan ha!"

In November 2020, Andrea split up with Derek Ramsay after more than a year of dating. Derek said he initiated their breakup, and in April 2021, Andrea told the press she was fine and that she had moved on, saying: "If he truly respects me and my family, he'll let us have our peace." 

Legal Wives is an upcoming GMA teleserye that will tell the story of "a unique family where a Mranaw man marries three different women for various reasons." Andrea plays Diane, a Christian who falls in love with Dennis Trillo's character Ishmael.
