2021 is a big year for actress Sue Ramirez! She's starring in the Philippine remake of British TV series Doctor Foster, aka the show K-drama A World Of Married Couple is based on. Sue will be playing the role of Lexy, the same role played by Han So Hee. While we're waiting for the show's much-awaited release, let's get to know Sue a little better!
Here are 12 things you need to know about Sue Ramirez:
1. Her *off-screen* name is Sue Anna Dodd.
Sue's mom is Filipino, her dad is American, and she is the youngest of five siblings.
2. Sue's birthday is on July 20, 1996!
Fun trivia: Sue and her kuya Aldin actually have the same birthday. For Sue's 24th "birthday salubong" in 2020, our girl had a *slumber party* with her closest friends. The theme for the night was ~pajama chic~!
3. Sue entered the showbiz industry in 2010.
In an interview, Sue shared that she saw a commercial for Star Magic auditions on TV and that's what convinced her to try her luck: "Pumila ako, pang-697 ako sa pila. Nag-start ako doon mga 6 a.m. siguro, tapos natapos kami mga 11 p.m." She actually sang "Angels Brought Me Here" for her audition! After many callbacks, Star Magic offered Sue voice, dance, and acting workshops. Her first project was a teen variety show called Shoutout:

4. One of Sue's first major roles in film was in Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi.
In the 2018 Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino film, Sue starred as Norma, a student who suddenly becomes *allergic* to anything related to WiFi and the internet. She has no choice but to stay at her lola's house in the province, where there's little to no signal!

Sue also played lead roles in the Regal Entertainment film Cuddle Weather (2019), Netflix movies Dead Kids (2019) and Finding Agnes (2020), and the Korean-Filipino project Sunshine Family (2019).

5. Sue Ramirez is currently in a relationship with Javi Benitez.
Dating rumors circulated in February 2020, but Sue only confirmed their relationship in August 2020. She gushed about her BF in an interview on the ABS-CBN show Hotspot, saying: "Consistent si Javi. Super smart siya, very family-oriented, and sobrang pasensiyoso. Bihira iyon magalit kaya feeling ko pretty girl ako kapag kasama ko siya. And I feel safe every time na kasama ko si Javi so iyon siguro iyong mga traits niya na nagustuhan ko."

6. For her Instagram account, Sue uses the name @sueannadoodles.
She currently has 8.6 million followers on the platform! For Twitter, Sue goes by the username @sueanna_dodd.
7. Sue has the most interesting stories when it comes to her tattoos!
In 2019, Sue got a red rose on her left wrist and a blue eye on her right elbow. The "evil eye," according to Sue, is a symbol that protects her from people and things that want to harm her. Another reason for the tattoo is because her late father's eyes were blue, and she really wanted to inherit them! Sue also has a sunflower tattoo because it's her favorite flower + a rainbow streak tattoo.
Sue has the words "dance," "try," "sail," and "rise" tattooed on her arm. She talked about its meaning on the show Magandang Buhay. Apparently, during a mall show, the audience asked her to sing the song "While We Are Young," which had those very words in the lyrics.
According to Sue: "Very inspirational yung apat na words na yan for me kasi official soundtrack ito ng Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi. Tapos hindi ko memorize yung kanta! So nagsulat ako sa kamay ko habang nasa backstage ako, noong apat na keywords ng bawat verse. Tapos pag-uwi ko, sabi ko, parang gusto ko siyang mag-marka na sa akin. Bilang inspirational naman siya at sobrang malapit sa puso ko yung pagiging Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa Wifi."

8. Sue Ramirez is ONE TALENTED SINGER!
Sue has released several singles, namely "Ako'y Sayo" (2016) and "In Lab Na In Lab" (2018). Sue also had a concert called Rock Chic in 2019.

9. Sue once bought a house as a *spontaneous purchase*!
At only 22 years old, Sue bought her first property. "Siguro 'yon yung biggest achievement ko so far na nabili ko for myself," she said in an interview with PEP. "I'm a very spontaneous person. Pati yung pagbili ng bahay na 'yon, I think it was a spontaneous act for me. Parang, 'I'm going to buy a house. I'm gonna take responsibility for something na kailangan kayanin ko.' So, ito na 'yon."

10. Sue *broke down crying* when she was cast in The Broken Marriae Vow!
In the show, her role Lexy Lucero is the mistress of David Ilustre (played by Zanjoe Marudo). David is married to Doctor Jill Ilustre (Jodi Sta. Maria) and all the *drama* will start when Jill starts suspecting her husband's having an affair.
"I got a phone call from my manager saying that there was going to be a pitch for me for a big project," Sue shared in an interview. "Of course, I've missed working with ABS...It is a big, big project. When they told me, I broke down crying, because I really couldn't believe na ako yung napili nila for this role!"
11. Sue is a big fan of her The Broken Marriage Vow co-star Jodi Sta. Maria.
What a small world, right? Sue recently gushed about a major fangirling moment, when she rode her bike to the shooting location of Jodi's 2009 teleserye Tayong Dalawa. She told ABS-CBN: "I remember the first time nakita ko si Jodi Sta. Maria, nagta-taping siya ng Tayong Dalawa malapit sa subdivision kung saan ako nakatira. Nag-bike ako papunta sa location nila, tapos pinicturan ko lang siya gamit yung flip phone ko," Sue shared. "Ngayon, makakasama ko na siya...Makakatrabaho ko na siya! Makaka-eksena ko na siya! Excited na excited na excited ako talaga."
12. For Sue, her mom is one amazing superhero.
After being sick for many years, Sue's dad sadly passed away when she was only 17 years old. For a long time, her mom was the sole earner in the family. "Ang mommy ko superhero talaga," Sue shared in a Magandang Buhay interview. "Ibang klase. Hindi ko alam paano niya kami nairaos ng ganoon katagal. Lima kaming anak niya, tapos may sakit yung asawa niya, tapos siya lang yung nagtatrabaho [at] tumataguyod sa aming lahat."
