Barbie Imperial's *Appreciation* Post For Diego Loyzaga Is Making Our Hearts Burst
Don't you just love receiving random acts of love from your S.O.? There needn't be any big occasion or milestone, but the fact that your loved one made you feel special on a regular day made it all the more memorable! And that's just what Barbie Imperial did for her boyfriend Diego Loyzaga. A couple of days ago, Barbie uploaded an appreciation post for Diego on Instagram and shared a bunch of precious pics him, one couple pic, and a sweet poem.
In the caption, the 22-year-old actress wrote, "If there's something I wanna give you, I'd give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes so you know how special you are to me. How happy my heart feels when I see you happy when I’m with you."
Diego sweetly replied to the post and said: "I love you my baby gurl. Thanks for making my day."
How Barbie and Diego's relationship started
The couple revealed their relationship on New Year's Day where Barbie said on Instagram that it was "totally unexpected" because they've been really close friends for years! In fact, they bonded over the online game Call Of Duty when Diego was on his two-year hiatus from showbiz. According to ABS-CBN, dating rumors between Barbie and Diego surfaced in November 2020 when Diego left a comment on one of Barbie's Insta posts. Later that month, Barbie admitted on Magandang Buhay that Diego was indeed courting her.
In a recent interview, Diego shared that they have "no secret" in making their relationship work. "Para sa akin kasi, yung love or being in a relationship, it's a never-ending compromise," he said. "You're two individuals who want to be a team or an item or parang a unit—isa kayo. So siyempre meron kayong mga differences. Meron kayong mga hindi pagkakasunduan. Pero marami rin kayong mga likes sa isa't-isa so there's no secret to it. It's work. It's like any relationship naman, even friendships ganoon din."
