Seo Ye Ji's Agency Addresses Issues Regarding Her And Kim Jung Hyun
Recently, rumors have been circulating about It's Okay To Not Be Okay actress Seo Ye Ji and Mr. Queen actor Kim Jung Hyun, Seo Ye Ji's agency has now released a statement and addressed the issue.
To give you a brief background, Kim Jung Hyun starred in the K-drama Times with Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun in 2018. During the series' press conference, the audience noticed the actor's unusual behavior. In a report by Dispatch, it was said that 13 episodes were removed from the drama, which included physical contact between the two Korean stars. The report also mentioned that Jung Hyun kept asking the director to "change scenes". Texts allegedly between Seo Ye Ji and Kim Jung Hyun also surfaced, where Seo Ye Ji would ask him to not have physical contact or romantic scenes with his co-star.
Ye Ji's agency, GOLDMEDALIST Co., addressed the issue and explained that they are airing their side. They also apologized for Ye Ji's non-appearance during the press conference for her film, Recalled.
According to Soompi, the agency said:
"It is not shown in the conversations that were revealed, but Kim Jung Hyun also made requests to Seo Ye Ji, who was filming a different drama, to not film kiss scenes. So Seo Ye Ji also told him, 'Then you shouldn’t do it either,' among conversations of lovers showing jealousy about each other’s physical contact with others. This can be seen as a common fight between actors who are dating. However, all actors carry out filming normally, putting their quarrels with their partners aside. Kim Jung Hyun must have also had an unavoidable personal matter. Moreover, the report contains private conversations between individuals that should not have been made public, and great misunderstandings seem to have been caused when that was not taken into consideration. Ultimately, we are deeply reflecting on having caused concern to many due to immature feelings regarding love." You may read the full statement here.
