Jessy Mendiola's Behind-The-Scenes Making Video Of Her Wedding Dress Is The Perfect Reference For Future Brides

Last April 4, Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano confirmed that they have tied the knot in an intimate civil wedding held at The Farm at San Benito in Lipa Batangas. Besides the overall romantic theme of the ceremony, many also fell in love with the gorgeous outfit of the pair—Luis wearing a pale pink suit by Paulo Lazaro and Jessy, a classic ankle-length wedding dress by Patricia Santos.

Recently, Jessy shared some behind-the-scenes of the planning of her romantic wedding gown by releasing a short vlog of her first meeting with her designer. Patricia, who has been dressing her consistently over the years, will also be designinging her dress for her church wedding.

"The reason why I chose Patricia talaga is because kilalang-kilala nya yung katawan ko. I think that should be one of the most important traits ng designer na mapipili mo. Dapat kilala na niya kung ano yung flattering sa'yo, kung anong bagay sa body type mo and body shape mo."

The two also shared some advice that might be helpful for future brides. According to Patricia, who has been dressing Jessy for as early as 2013 BTW, communication is important between the designer and the client. Jessy, for one, made it clear that she wanted to wear something comfortable with a classic and timeless touch to it so they made sure to make several tweaks to her gown.

The actress also talked about her top five non-negotiables when planning a wedding. According to her, one thing she really can’t compromise is her dress.

"Tipirin mo na lahat, huwag lang ang wedding gown mo. Kung saan feeling mo maganda ka, kung pasok naman sa budget mo, go for it."

She also mentioned makeup, wedding bands, photo and video, and venue as important elements for her.

Patricia adds, "Know your priorities. You can't have it all. Kailangan natin maging practical kasi that will help you budget everything."

Jessy and Luis will also have a second church wedding. According to Jessy, her dress is going to be entirely different in theme and feel from her civil wedding outfit.
