Heaven Peralejo Tests Positive For COVID-19-Here's How She's Dealing With It

Heaven Peralejo joins the list of celebrities who tested positive for COVID-19. In her most recent vlog, the Bagong Umaga actress gave a peek at how she is dealing with it, from receiving the bad news up to when she was finally moved to the hospital.

"I don't know if I'm ready to share this with you guys, it's too personal. But... just in case. A few hours ago ko lang nalaman yung resulta ko."

"Symptoms, I'm feeling weak and I'm having headaches. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari sa iba. I don't know what is happening. Naka-quarantine din kami."

Heaven was initially held in Seda Hotel where she and the rest of the crew of Bagong Umaga were quarantined. After that, she moved back home where she spent days isolated in her parents' room.

She also noted the symptoms she was experiencing in her video. Though she didn't have any fever, she had difficulty breathing, chest pain, and body pains. She even showed clips of her using an oxygen machine to deal with it.

"Pagkagising ko kaninang morning, it was so difficult to breathe. Parang ang bigat bigat ng puso ko."

More than just dealing with COVID-19, however, Heaven also opened up about the emotional and mental strain that comes with isolation. According to the actress, spending days alone made some of the things she was trying her best to deal with finally catch up with her.

"Words, even if they are not true, they still affect you. Naapektuhan pa din ako. There is nothing wrong with being hurt, there is nothing wrong with being sad. Pero 'yun lang siguro...Your will to live. Dapat hindi tayo nawawalan ng will to live."

Heaven was initially connected to Kiko Estrada and Devon Seron's breakup. Kiko is Heaven's co-star in Bagong Umaga.

Despite this, she did offer some lessons she got from her current experience: "Sa lahat ng nangyari sa akin within these past few days, natutunan ko dun, is how to you rise up—I think that is one thing I'm looking forward [to]."

The end of her vlog showed Heaven being moved to a hospital after her symptoms started to get more severe. She was successfully admitted to an unnamed hospital after being on the waitlist.
