Ivana Alawi Appears Thrice On YouTube's List Of Top Trending Videos In 2020

Before the global health crisis, Pinoys were already known for spending *a lot* of time online: In 2019, the Philippines topped a global list for internet usage, with an average of 10 hours and two minutes of screen time per day. So when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it's no surprise that we turned to the internet to cope with what's happening; in fact, much of your time was probably spent on YouTube. 

YouTube recently released their top 10 trending videos in the Philippines for 2020, and a majority of the most-loved videos revolved around pranks and challenges—basically content that cheered us up even for a few minutes.

Looking at the list, it seems like it's Ivana Alawi's year. She appears in three of the top trending YouTube videos. Raffy Tulfo's prank on the young actress landed the no. 2 spot, followed by Alex Gonzaga's "Iguana meets Ivana" video. Ivana's own "Boyfriend Prank" video made the list at no. 4. Plus, she is no. 1 on the top creators list, according to a press release from YouTube. 

And the most watched YouTube video in the Philippines is Pilipinas Got Talent 2011 champion Marcelito Pomoy's powerful rendition of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer" on America's Got Talent. Wow!
