In an article by Soompi, Jihyo's agency, JYP Entertainment, confirmed the news: "It is true that they broke up recently." Kang Daniel's label is said to make a statement soon.
Reports say that the reason for their breakup is because of their hectic schedules, which made it hard for them to meet up with each other. It is said that they will now focus on their individual careers, particularly in album preparations. The two K-pop idols confirmed their relationship in August 2019.
Kang Daniel recently made a comeback with his mini-album, Magenta, while TWICE is currently promoting their new album, Eyes Wide Open, with the title track "I Can't Stop Me".
