Talking about her showbiz career with PEP.ph, Maxine was asked by Cabinet Files if she would ever star in sexy films, and consider taking on ~mature~ roles, similar to her co-beauty queens Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2013 Cindy Miranda and Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza. The 31-year-old Pinay answered and said she doesn't want to commit to projects that would require her to portray a ~sexy image~.

She also mentioned that the decision was brought about by her religion as well. "I'm a Catholic din po," she added.

The beauty queen clarified that she has nothing against Cindy and Kylie's decision to be involved with sexy roles. At the end of the day, it's all a matter of pursuing different paths. She shared, "I think, yung ginagawa naman nila is art. It's their world. It's their showbiz world, and they enjoy it naman siguro."
