Karen Bordador Tearfully Recalls Her Time In Prison: 'Hindi lang katawan yung nakukulong'
DJ and YouTuber Karen Bordador, now a Pinoy Big Brother housemate, recently opened up about her imprisonment. After being arrested in 2016 during a buy-bust operation, Karen was imprisoned for five years. She was acquitted of all charges of conspiring to sell illegal drugs in June 2021.

A tearful Karen sat down with PBB's "kuya" and talked about how her family was greatly affected by what happened. "I was hoping to make them proud tapos biglang...damay-damay na po 'yon. Buong kapangalan mo maaapektuhan. My family is in a professional world. Mommy ko na well-respected, talagang lumayo po siya sa mga taong normally katrabaho po niya." While she was in jail, Karen says her mom gave her unconditional love and support.
Karen also opened up about the mental and emotional toll being imprisoned had on her. "'Pag nakulong ang isang tao, hindi lang katawan yung nakukulong. Bahala ka na kung isasabay mo yung utak mo at puso mo doon sa pagkakakulong mo," she said. "Pero dahil gumigising ka pa, dahil nakakakita ka pa ng mga ngumingiti, at nagdadasal ka, mari-realize mo na may maganda pa na darating. Kung ano lang nilaan ni Lord sa'yo, ia-accept mo."
