Claudine Barretto Posts A Love Letter From Rico Yan: 'I can't believe you're mine'

Claudine Barretto just posted a love letter from Rico Yan, and fans' hearts are breaking.

The actress took to Instagram to share a photo of the short and sweet note which was written on September 7, 1998. Claudine was 19 years old, while Rico was 23.

"Double infinity," said Claudine in the caption. "RYCB (Rico Yan-Claudine Barretto) and CLAUDINIANS, this is for all of you."

Here's Rico's touching message:

"Hunny, just wanted to let you know that you are the best thing that happened in my life," Rico wrote. "You are my life! While I watch you sleep, I can't believe you're mine. Thank you for being my rock! And Hunny, you rock. I love you very much, Hunny."

Celebs such as Dianne Medina, Mariel Rodriguez, and Neri Naig couldn't help but react to Claudine's post.

Followers of the love team know all too well that at the time of the letter, Claudine and Rico were in the middle of filming their soap Mula Sa Puso, which ran from 1997 to 1999. They were first paired in the movies Madrasta in 1996 and Flames The Movie in 1997, before falling in love with each other in 1998.

Claudine and Rico broke up four years later in March 2002, shortly after the premiere of their movie Got 2 Believe. In the same month, Rico was found dead while on vacation in Palawan due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis. He was only 27.

In an IG post, Claudine described that day as "the day my heart broke into pieces."

This isn't the first time that Claudine has shared Rico's love letters. She first started posting photos of his handwritten messages in 2015 and in 2016. She revealed in a past interview that she thinks of Rico every day.
