'You' Season 3: Fans Have A Pretty Wild Theory About Who Joe's Brother Is

You Season 3 has officially arrived on Netflix, and the drama did *not* disappoint. Still, as expected when it comes to You, we've been left with about as many questions as we started with. Season 4 has finally been confirmed (hooray!) but, while we wait for answers, fans have a pretty interesting theory about what's to come.

If you've managed to get all the way to the end of You Season 3, you'll have discovered that Joe has a potential half brother. In the final episode, we see a flashback where Joe finds his mom with a boy named Jacob, who looks to be about three years old.

It's not explicitly revealed whether Jacob is Joe's brother (it's possible that Joe's mom could just be looking after him), but if Joe does have a half brother out there, fans are naturally speculating on where he is now.

One pretty wild theory currently circulating? Joe's brother is Theo Engler, neighbor Matthew Engler's stepson and Love's secret lover.

Discussing the theory, fans have pointed out that Theo is specifically introduced as Matthew's stepson, leaving open the possibility that Joe's mom could be his biological mother.

Meanwhile, others have added that Joe and Theo do look pretty alike, with the theory adding a whole new dimension to Love's relationship with Theo.

Sharing their thoughts in a Reddit thread about the theory, one viewer wrote, "I kept thinking throughout the series how similar Theo and young Joe looked...."

Another added that the age gap would indeed add up, writing, "I don't recall Joe's age being mentioned anywhere, so with Theo being 19 the ages could work out if we assume Joe is in early 30s."

Others on Twitter think there could definitely be some kind of family connection between the two characters, even if they're not brothers, with one fan writing, "I have a theory that Joe and Theo are related."

Well, it's certainly food for thought. It looks like we won't be getting any official answers until Season 4 drops, though, so here's hoping there's not too long to wait.
