Bea Alonzo Reveals The *One* Item She Hasn't Checked Out From Her Online Shopping Cart

Bea Alonzo has drastically changed her shopping habits since the COVID-19 pandemic happened.

For one thing, the 33-year-old GMA-7 actress has minimized her visits to the malls.

Bea further revealed at a digital press launch on October 4, 2021, that most of her shopping is now done online.

Speaking as the new Lazada 10.10 Big Brands Sale ambassador, Bea said the "add to cart" feature of online shopping is an advantage because she gets to control her impulse buying habit compared to when she's in the mall.

She explained, "I feel like it's a blessing also because when you add to cart a product, you have time to actually think about it whether to check out na ba or not,"

"You can also check other items kung mas maganda yung quality, may reviews.

"So I feel like it's really a big blessing. Unlike, in an actual mall na kapag may nakita kang product, 'di ba, immediately you buy it."

Bea also said online shopping is a lot less time-consuming, "Sometimes, you get tamad to actually go around anymore or you actually don't have the time to do so.

"So, yeah, I think 'yon yung big change sa shopping habit ko."

Taking into account the influence of her money-savvy mom Mary Anne Ranollo, Bea generally is more a practical spender than an impulsive shopper.

But she admitted, "I think I am both. There are things that I purchase the practical way. And there are things that I impulse buy depending on if I really, really like it."

TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY

One item that's still on hold in Bea's cart is a portable teleprompter, which she needs as a vlogger.

She has not made up her mind about getting it for the reason she still has to develop herself as a vlogger, one who is confident and spontaneous as suggested by her producers and handler.

She said, "It's a teleprompter because when I started vlogging kasi, I used to be not really comfortable talking to the camera, ano...

"Kasi, imagine, for 20 years, I have always pretended like the cameras did not exist.

"Kasi siyempre uma-acting ako 'di ba na parang walang cameras.

"So when I started vlogging, I didn't feel comfortable talking to the camera without a script.

"But then, yung producer ko and yung handler ko told me na dapat mas spontaneous ako, and I should train myself how to be spontaneous and to just be myself in front of the camera.

"So, hindi ko siya binili. But until now, it's there."

With the Christmas season just weeks away, Bea's shopping tip for her fans is to start shopping early and make the most of the monthly sales and promos.

She said, "Even if we're saving, we shouldn't lose the spirit of giving this holiday season.

"And there are so many ways how to save. Like for example na lang, if you shop now for 10.10 for Christmas, you'll save a lot of money because there's 10 percent cash-back, free shipping [with] no minimum spent.

"So I guess, you can still shop, but be smart about it."
