7 Must-Watch K-Dramas Starring *SF9* Members

It's been five years since nine-member K-pop boy group SF9 debuted under FNC Entertainment. Known for bands like CNBLUE, FTISLAND, and N.Flying, SF9 is FNC's first dance boy group. Composed of members Youngbin, Chani, Dawon, Hwiyoung, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Rowoon, Yoo Taeyang, and Zuho, the group has experienced a rise in popularity thanks to hit tracks and screen time activities that have allowed the members to showcase their acting chops and win K-drama fan hearts the world over. 1. Click Your Heart (2016)

The plot: This classic coming-of-age drama features all SF9 members as high school students. The center of their affection is a clumsy girl named Mina (former AOA member Kwon Mi Na) who finds herself choosing between a star baseball pitcher (Rowoon), a top student (Dawon), a street smart rebel (Zuho), and a boy band member passionate about dancing (Chani).

2. She Would Never Know (2020)

The plot: In noona office romance She Would Never Know, Rowoon stars as Chae Hyun Seung, a marketing intern for a cosmetic brand, who falls for a senior colleague, Yoon Song Ah (Won Jin Ah), after meeting her at a university job fair. His hopes go down the drain when he finds out that Song Ah is in a secret relationship with their department head Lee Jae Shin (Lee Hyun Wook). The plot thickens when he discovers Jae Shin is engaged to the granddaughter of their company's chairman. He exposes his cheating to Song Ah and steps in as her ~pretend boyfriend~ to help her end things with Jae Shin. An emotional rollercoaster results when Song Ah finds herself falling for Hyun Seung.

3. Replay: The Moment When It Starts Again (2021)

The plot: Told in a format that utilizes flashbacks to narrate the story, Replay: The Moment When It Starts Again is about a group of high school students who come together to form a band called Neon Paprika. When sparks among members start to ignite, things get complicated and priorities and friendships are put to the test. This youth drama features (G)-Idle's Miyeon as the band's vocalist, who finds herself in a love triangle between guitarist Lee Ji Hoon (Hwiyoung) and keyboard player Gong Chan Young (Kim Min Chul).

4. Imitation (2021)

The plot: Ever wonder what idol dating could be like IRL? Idol drama Imitation puts the spotlight on what happens when a secret relationship blooms between rookie girl group member Lee Ma Ha (Jung Ji So) and top boy group member Kwon Ryok (UKISSLee Jun Young). The show's star-studded idol lineup includes Park Ji Yeon (from former girl group KARA) as second female lead La Ri Ma, Jeong Yun Ho (Ateez) as second male lead Lee Yu Jin, and SF9's Chani as Lee Eun Jo, a former Shax member whose mysterious disappearance caused a rift between Kwon Ryok and Yun Ho.

5. Doom At Your Service (2021)

Where to watch it: Viu

The plot: Tak Dong Kyung's (Park Bo Young) world comes crashing down when she discovers she has brain cancer; finds out that her boyfriend has a wife and is a father-to-be; gets reprimanded by her boss and gets spied on by a pervert—all in one day. As she drinks away her sorrows, she chances upon a shooting star and wishes doom for the world. Her wish is heard by Myul Mang (Seo In Guk), a messenger who crosses between the worlds of gods and humans. He surprises her by appearing at her doorstep with a unique proposition. The fun begins when Dong Kyung signs a hundred-day contract with him to live her last days as she pleases. Dawon stars as Dong Kyung's younger brother Sun Kyung.

6. The King's Affection (airs on October 11!)

Where to watch it: Netflix

The plot: This gender bender is fueling fan anticipation as it gears up for its premiere. Based on a manhwa with the same name, it centers on a pair of royal fraternal twins and the conflict that ensues when the female twin, Lee Hwi (Park Eun Bin) disguises herself as the crown prince when her brother dies. Rowoon stars as Jung Ji Woon, the prince's teacher who ends up protecting Lee Hwi once he discovers her secret.

7. Miracle (release date yet to be announced)

The plot: ICYMI, FNC Entertainment announced in August that Chani will be starring in idol drama Miracle opposite Kang Min Ah. In it, he plays Louis, a world-famous artist, while Kang Min Ah will take on the role of Lee So Rin, a content producer who aspires to be a famous star. Recent news revealed that Hwiyoung will also be joining the cast. Though his role is yet to be revealed, fans are excited to see both SF9 members in action.
