'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,' 'The Kissing Booth 3,' + More New Titles On Netflix This August
And before you know it, it's already August. A brand new month means we have a bunch of fresh drops on Netflix. This includes the final installment of The Kissing Booth trilogy (Elle + Noah 4ever!) and the highly-anticipated K-drama starring Good Boy Kim Seon Ho and the ever-lovable gumiho Shin Min Ah in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. We've also got a slew of Pinoy content—from horror to romance to a heartwarming documentary—and more to add to our watch list!
Nine new titles dropping on Netflix this August 2021:
1. The Kissing Booth 3 (August 11)
The plot, according to Netflix: "It's the summer before Elle heads to college, and she's facing the hardest decision of her life: whether to move across the country with her dreamy boyfriend Noah or fulfill her lifelong promise to go to college with her BFF Lee. Whose heart will Elle break?"
2. Bliss (August 15)
The plot, according to Netflix: "Jane suffers a freak accident while shooting a film and wakes up in a wheelchair. As days start repeating themselves, she begins to question her sanity."
3. Sunday Beauty Queen (August 15)
The plot, according to Netflix: "This documentary follows five domestic workers in Hong Kong as they prepare to take part in beauty pageants on their Sundays off."
4. A Far Away Land (August 19)
The plot, according to Netflix: "In the Faroe Islands, a married woman meets a reporter filming a documentary on overseas Filipino workers, which soon sparks a complicated love story."
5. Sweet Girl (August 20)
The plot, according to Netflix: "Devoted family man Ray Cooper, vows justice against the pharmaceutical company responsible for pulling a potentially life-saving drug from the market just before his wife dies from cancer. But when his search for the truth leads to a deadly encounter that puts Ray and his daughter Rachel in harm's way, Ray's mission turns into a quest for vengeance in order to protect the only family he has left."
6. The Chair (August 20)

7. He's All That (August 27)
The plot, according to Netflix: "He's All That reimagines the original plot of the 1999 teen classic She's All That. The contemporary story follows an influencer who accepts a challenge to turn the school's biggest loser into prom king."
8. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (August 28)
The plot, according to Netflix: "At a crossroads, a woman moves to a seaside village where she meets a handyman intent on helping his neighbors."
