Apart from being wealthy, their lives are also full of ~drama~ which makes these shows even more intriguing.

1. SKY Castle (2018)

The plot: In the posh neighborhood called SKY Castle lives a bunch of families of doctors and professors. They own houses with huge chandeliers, drive multiple cars, wear the latest designer clothes, and have exclusive credit cards that only the wealthiest and most powerful in South Korea can ever have. In true Asian family fashion, these parents want their children to pursue the same fields as them. They're willing to risk everything just to get them admitted to the top universities in SoKor, even if it includes their sanity.

2. Mine (2021)

Who's in it: Lee Bo Young, Kim Seo Hyung

The plot: Remember the terrifying Coach Kim from Sky Castle played by Kim Seo Hyung? Well, the actress is back in this 2021 K-drama as the cunning daughter-in-law of an extremely wealthy family. In the first few minutes of Mine, your jaw will drop from the views of their luxurious estate. Seriously, the main house (yes, there are multiple in the compound and they have names because that's how rich people are) looks like a museum! Also in this drama is the gorgeous Lee Bo Young, who also plays a daughter-in-law who married into this crazy rich family. It's pretty hard to summarize what Mine is all about, but we can safely share that it's about how everyone—including the wealthiest peoplehas secrets that they hope to take to their graves and that nothing is ever as it seems, especially when money and people in power can manipulate almost everything. In Mine, you'll see how the elite can get anything they want with a snap of a finger, but that doesn't mean they're living happily and peacefully. While they may be surrounded by the most beautiful material things and properties, in reality, their world is vicious and ugly. Watch if you love seeing rich people suffer, LOL.

3. Shopping King Louis (2016)

Who's in it: Seo In Guk, Nam Ji Hyun, Yoon Sang Hyun, Im Se Mi

The plot: Based on the title, the drama's lead character, Louis (or Kang Ji Sung) is a well-known shopaholic! He's the remaining heir of a chaebol family and every high-end retail store knows him and the things he wants. He would even get first dibs on limited-edition, insanely expensive items! One day, Louis loses his memory and meets a woman who later on teaches him a thing or two about his spending habits.

4. Boys Over Flowers (2009)

Who's in it: Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon, Geum Jan Di

The plot: If we're talking about chaebol families, we can't forget about the iconic Boys Over Flowers! The group of boys in this drama is called the F4, who all have affluent backgrounds. They're considered the most popular students in Shinhwa High School and everyone takes a step back whenever their names are mentioned. F4's leader Gu Jun Pyo is the soon-to-be heir of South Korea's biggest conglomerate, the Shinhwa Group.

5. The Master's Sun (2009)

Who’s in it: Gong Hyo JinSo Ji Sub, Seo In Guk

The plot: What would you do when you are ~cursed~ with the ability to see ghosts and you discover that these spirits can disappear once you touch someone? You'll stay by his side, of course! The Master's Sun takes us to the story of Tae Gong Shil, who was once an optimistic person until she was caught in an accident. And then there's businessman Joo Joong Won—he owns a chain of malls, lives in a mansion, and only has his eyes set on his fortune.

The plot: Have you ever heard of a pet fish who died and was given a ~*grand*~ funeral? By grand, I mean it's attended by people in designer suits! That's how filthy rich the characters are in the drama, Graceful Family. And just like any other home with chaebols in it, this one's chock full of scandals, too!

7. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018)

Who’s in it: Park Seo Joon, Park Min Young

The plot: Undoubtedly one of Park Seo Joon's most unforgettable dramas (PSJ in well-fitted suits in all episodes, a steamy kissing scene with Park Min Young, AURA!) is What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. Here he plays Lee Young Joon, who runs his family's conglomerate. He unexpectedly falls in love with his diligent secretary, Kim Mi So, but one day, Secretary Kim decides to quit her job because of a life-long mission that she's always wanted to accomplish. 8. That Winter, The Wind Blows (2018)

The plot: A melodrama at its core, That Winter, The Wind Blows is about Oh Young, a blind chaebol heiress who lives alone and is determined to find her long-lost brother, Oh Soo.
