Liza Soberano Is Being Called 'Insensitive' To The Death Of 'Tatay' At Angel Locsin's Community Pantry
Yesterday, April 23, Angel Locsin apologized profusely to the family of the senior citizen who died while in line at her community pantry.
The senior citizen, Rolando dela Cruz, was a family man and balut vendor, and he lined up for Angel's community pantry at 3 a.m. on Friday. According to Angel, he was caught in a commotion as there were people cutting in line and becoming unruly.
Angel also took full responsibility for the incident. She added, "Sa ngayon po, I will prioritize helping the family and I will make it my responsibility to help them get through this."
Many celebs, including Anne Curtis, Dimples Romana, and Iza Calzado, comforted Angel on Instagram, saying they understood her good intentions. Liza Soberano also reached out. But she angered netizens by telling Angel that she didn't have to apologize for what happened to Rolando.
Liza commented on Angel's post, "You don't need to say sorry ate dahil hindi mo naman ginusto ang mga nangyari. We will be praying for tatay's soul, for his family who is mourning, and for your good health and peace of mind."
Replies from netizens mostly lectured Liza on empathy; some had personal attacks.
IG user @viebriza stated, "Even if 'di nya intended, saying sorry doesn't make her less a person. Saying sorry means she acknowledges that there was a mistake and pagkukulang sa in-organize nya. Take note: Sya ang nag-organize. You sympathize with her but your choice of words napakamali.
"Angel is just humble enough to say sorry," began IG user @jessamine018. "What happened wasn't her intention but she felt that somehow she is responsible for it... That's a major turn on for her… But for you to say that 'You don't need to say sorry,'... that's a major turn off. Entitled ka ata masyado...saka medyo insensitive 'yon at medyo na-disappoint tao sa 'yo dahil dyan. Tsk tsk."

Who do u want to blame because of what happened? If u don't have anything good to say u better shut up kasi meron ka fake life na mabait kuno na kailangan ipakita because of your angelic face and evil soul...
Sabog utak ko sa 'You don’t need to say sorry' mo, girl. Hahahaha so sino magso-sorry, si tatay? Sino mag-a-adjust girl...napaka-insensitive mo! Dunung-dunungan ka na naman. Ang layo mo kay Angel. Talaga ganda lang meron," expressed user @rhiczyjhane28.
User @woman.of.few.words said, "So 'pag si Quen nagloko sa 'yo sasabihin mo lang 'You don't need to say sorry kasi 'di mo naman ginusto?'"
As of this writing, Liza hasn't responded to any of the bashers. Whether or not she makes a statement, she's likely to learn from this experience.
