Kim Chiu Opens Up About Not Finishing College: 'Isa ito sa mga regrets ko in life'

Actress and vlogger Kim Chiu recently opened up about not being able to finish her college degree in her newest YouTube vid, which was released on April 11. She answered the most Googled questions about her, and one of the queries was: "Where did Kim Chiu go to college?" 

"Isa ito sa mga regrets ko in life na hindi ako nakapag-tungtong ng college," Kim Chiu shared. "But I think everything happens for a reason and then dito ako dinala. And masaya ako na napag-college ko yung tatlo sa mga kapatid ko...So I think it's rewarding na for me. I think ito talaga yung tadhana."

Kim Chiu on studying business management for two years

Kim Chiu revealed that she actually studied at the University of the Philippines Open University for two years, but she wasn't able to finish the course because of her job. UPOU is a distance-learning institution and Kim said she had online classes and video calls for recitations.

"Nag-UPOU ako hanggang second year, kinuha ko ang business management na course...But hindi ako nagtagal kasi hindi ko kinaya, ang daming assignments, ang daming projects, tapos nagte-teleserye pa ako at ASAP." Kim added that she was thankful for those projects and that she hopes to study again in the future to get her college degree. Go, Kim!!!

Kim Chiu entered showbiz as a teenager by joining the reality show Pinoy Big Brother in 2006. Coincidentally, Kim also starred in a 2012 teleserye called Ina Kapatid Anak, where she played a UP Diliman student from Cebu and starred alongside Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, and Xian Lim

Actress Bea Alonzo also opened up about not having the privilege to go to college, adding that it's actually her biggest insecurity. She said in a recent interview: "I didn't go to college. Yung education ko po hanggang second-year high school lang and then home-schooled na ng third year and fourth year...Actually, yung education ko is my number one insecurity, na not having the privilege to go to college."
