Iya Villania Says Longtime Love Drew Arellano Is Actually *NOT* Her Type

Iya Villania and Drew Arellano have been together for a long time. How long exactly? Well, they've been a couple for 17 years, married for seven years, and have three beautiful children together, Primo, Leon, and Alana! Whew. That's a lot of history, no?

Iya and Drew were actually paired up as love team partners in the GMA-7 teen show Click, which ran from 1999 to 2004. While the show didn't last, Iya and Drew's love did! And in a recent episode of Mars Pa More, the 34-year-old actress-host revealed that she didn't think she'd end up with Drew—let alone get married and grow a family with him—because he was not her type. "So, nagsimula kaming love team but I never thought that I would actually marry Drew," she shared. "Kasi hindi naman 'yan yung type ko. Hindi. Hindi 'yan yung type ko, mars."

Though initially Drew wasn't what Iya had in mind for an ideal partner, she realized that after they got married, Drew became everything she wanted in a man: "But, now that we're married, you know what? He turned out to be everything that I wanted. Alam mo, mars, yung nakakatuwa, even including becoming the athlete that he is, the businessman that he is, you know, these are all things that I never realized that I wanted and it's what he is."

While the couple is busy being super-active and hands-on parents to their three little kids, they're already preparing for their retirement home! "Of course, eventually the kids are gonna be doing their own thing," Iya explained. "So, parang 'yon. We've already invested in a place where we plan to grow old together."

Looks like everything turned out ~better~ than Iya expected, no?
