INOSENTE at walang kinalaman sa akusasyong sexual abuse ang lead guitarist ng Eraserheads na si Marcus Adoro.

Iyan umano ang pinanindigan ni Marcus nang kausapin ng mga producer ng lalahukang concert ng Eraserheads sa October 18, ang Electric Fun Music Festival.

Kaya naman makakasama na si Marcus  sa pagpe-perform ng Eraserheads sa naturang music event contrary to reports na tsinugi na ng grupo ang kanilang gitarista.

Sa mga hindi pa aware, inakusahan ng isang netizen na pinagsamantalahan umano siya ni Marcus noong nasa high school pa lamang siya.

Base sa salaysay ng netizen sa Reddit, naganap ang umano’y pang-aabuso noong March 30, 2025.

“Marcus Adoro raped me when I was in high school and now I have to see his face all over the news and social media because of the Eraserheads reunion.

“F*ck this guy for telling me masuwerte ako na hindi niya na all-the-way dahil lang nagpupumiglas ako.

“Every time I see his face, I fall into despair because of how unfair it is that people can forgive and forget so easily.

“He is a known and recorded abuser of women. He beat Barbara Ruaro. He abused his own child — going as far as telling Syd that she will be raped.

“He raped me and countless other women — tried to rape one acquaintance of mine, as well,” sabi pa ng netizen na ang tinutukoy na Barbara Ruaro ay ang indie actress na ex-partner ni Marcus.

Nagsampa ito ng reklamong sexual abuse laban sa gitarista noong 2019.

Kasunod nga ng akusasyon ng netizen kay Marcus, in-announce ng Eraserheads vocalist na si Ely Buendia na pansamantala muna itong hindi makakasama sa banda habang inaayos  ang kinasasangkutang kontrobersya.

Ngunit nitong nagdaang May 31, inilabas nga ang announcement ng producer tungkol sa participation ni Marcus sa concert ng Eraserheads sa October 18, para sa Electric Fun Music Festival.

“Following our initial statement, Marcus Adoro has informed us that he is actively and legally addressing the baseless and false allegations that recently circulated online.

“Mr. Adoro maintains his innocence and has presented the steps he has taken to assert his innocence through the appropriate legal channels,” sabi pa sa statement.

Dagdag pa, “As producers, we want to make our position clear: We do not condone abuse in any form. At the same time, we firmly reject the culture of trial by social media. Allegations must be heard, but the truth must be proven, not assumed.

“We stand for due process, fairness, and the fundamental right of every individual to address accusations in a lawful and just manner.

“The Electric Fun Music Festival is moving forward and we are doing so with clarity, integrity, and our full commitment to the music and the community that brought us all together.”

Hanggang ngayon ay wala pang pahayag si Marcus tungkol sa naging desisyon ng concert producer na ibalik na siya sa Eraserheads.
