Rico Blanco nagpaalam na sa yumaong kapatid: ‘Kuya loves you so much’

EMOSYONAL ng namaalam si Rico Blanco sa kanyang nakababatang kapatid na si Rey o mas kilalang “King.”

Para sa mga hindi aware, ang younger brother ng singer-songwriter ay binawian ng buhay sa laban nito sa cancer.

Sa isang post sa Instagram, ibinandera ni Rico ang mga larawang kuha nila ni Rey noong sila ay mga bata pa.

Ang caption niya riyan para sa mga nagdasal at sumuporta, “Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. You gave my dearest brother so much strength. You made him feel he wasn’t alone in a battle he fought till the very end.”

Ang sey naman niya sa kapatid, “Farewell, King [white heart emoji] Thank you for bringing us so much love and so much joy.”

“Kuya loves you so much,” aniya pa.

Kung matatandaan, Nitong Enero lamang nang unang ibinahagi ni Rico ang tungkol sa sakit ni Rey. 

Sa isang panawagan ng panalangin para sa kanilang pamilya, inilahad niya ang biglaan at mabigat na balita.

“A few weeks ago we received the terrible news that [Rey] has cancer. The signs all came too rapidly and seemingly out of nowhere, and by the time we got the full diagnosis, we were told he already has an advanced and very aggressive type of squamous cell carcinoma (sinus),” laad noon ng dating bokalista sa isang post.

Dagdag pa niya, “I cannot bear to imagine a world without him in it.”

Pumanaw si Rey noong May 14 sa edad na 50.
