Alexa nagka-COVID kaya wala sa ABS-CBN Christmas Special, ‘Toss Coin’ showing sa HK

MABUTI na lang at nakadalo pa muna ang aktres na si Alexa Ilacad sa launching ng international microfilm nila ng aktor na si KD Estrada na may titulong “Toss Coin” na ipapalabas sa 20th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival bago pa nagpositibo sa COVID 19 ang aktres.

Excited sana si Alexa, kasi hindi siya nakadalo sa ABS-CBN Christmas Special na ginanap sa Araneta Coliseum noong December 13.

Nag-post ang singer-actress sa kanyng Instagram account tungkol dito nitong December 14 at nagpasalamat sa supporters nila ni KD dahil kahit wala sila ay tila naging present pa rin sila sa Araneta.

“To those still wondering why I was not at the Araneta Coliseum last night for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, t’was coz I needed to isolate after testing positive for covid,” caption niya.

Chika niya sa post, “Days prior to the Christmas Special, I was out for work only and activities in preparation for the event including rehearsals & fitting. I was heartbroken not being there to see my fans and supporters who prepared long & hard for this event.

“I was ready. I wanted to make them proud. I wanted to give them back what they deserve. I felt I let them down, including KD who wasn’t able to do the loveteam prod,” patuloy niya.

Kwento pa niya, “But when I saw videos of my fans happily dancing, singing, screaming with their cute heart light sticks, the giant LEDs, the glow in the dark KDLEX shirts, the banners, I definitely felt so much happiness (while it also made me tear up).”

” “I will ‘forever be grateful’ to you, our Sweethearts & Solids. Thank you for staying by for KD, thank you for the concern, the thoughtfulness, the love. They are all the reason why I desperately tried to prove that I was perfectly fine and capable of performing but safety protocols had to be followed,” aniya pa.

Pinasalamatan din ni Alexa ang stylist niya, “Grateful to my Stylist, @pattyyap, for her dedication in making sure that all my 4 outfits for my prod numbers were special. It’s a shame I wasn’t able to showcase them coz they were all STUNNING!”

Dagdag pa niya, “To the designers, @maraxchua & @maison_soriano, I will make sure to wear those gorgeous outfits in future events. To my PPP family, my Paraiso sisters, I appreciate you all so much. Ate @vanemadriaga, you’re a trooper!”

Speaking of “Toss Coin” na idinirek ng award-winning at highest-grossing film director na si Cathy Garcia-Sampana ay isa ito sa tatlong pelikula na bahagi ng “Hong Kong In The Lens By Asian Directors” na may layuning ipakita ang ganda ng Hong Kong at pausbungin ang turismo ng bansa.

Iikot ang kuwento sa pagkikita nina Kiko (KD) at Pia (Alexa) sa Hong Kong kung saan mabubuo ang kanilang hindi inaasahang pag-iibigan at magagandang karanasan.

Masayang ikinwento nina KD at Alexa ang kanilang experience na makatrabaho sa unang pagkakataon si Direk Cathy.

“Pinagyayabang ko siya, ang maka-work si Direk Cathy. It’s an honor to be chosen to do this. Sabi ko nga, we have to impress them and be fun to work with,” sabi ni Alexa.

Sey naman ni KD,“Alam naman natin na si Direk Cathy is a master of RomCom, I was very shocked and nervous, but Alexa and I talked na we’re really going to bring our A game and we want to make the story shown to everyone.

Sa espesyal na screening na naganap noong nakaraang Linggo ay ibinahagi ni Direk Cathy na mas lumitaw ang emosyon at koneksyon ng KdLex dahil sa ganda at kulay ng Hong Kong.

“While I personally like the city’s human touch and culture, this time, I had the opportunity to show the other side of Hong Kong, highlighting the beautiful architecture of the buildings and the intersection between artistic galleries and vibrant murals that blended perfectly with the story and KdLex’s chemistry,” kwento ni direk Cathy.

Tatlong short films mula South Korea, Thailand at Pilipinas ang tampok sa proyektong ito na mapapanood din ngayon Disyembre sa tvN Asia at Viu simula nu’ng December 11. Ipapalabas din ito sa A2z at Kapamilya Channel.
